Fading Away

Image
Fading Away The season of change is here— Autumn. A multitude of hues adorn the trees— Vivid. Tree branches soon become bare— Leaves fall. The leaves crumble, go deep beneath the earth— Buried. A quiet peace settles around— Winter.  *** Poetry Form:

The Blossoming Meadow

Image
The Blossoming Meadow Interspaced between the delicate daisies, Pretty purple poppies bloom in the meadow. Across the several stretched-out, vast valleys,  The sun casts its rays down in a warm yellow. The fragrance of the flowers wafts through the breeze, And the entire atmosphere is set aglow. Wish I could be part of nature’s fantasies, Drowned in the sweet voice of the singing swallow. *** Poetry Form:

Melancholic Melodies

Image
Melancholic Melodies We used to dance for hours, Under the twinkling stars, On the wild meadows, Just you and me. My hands in yours, Our steps were in sync, Just like our heartbeats, Always beating as one. A rendezvous every night, When the sun disappeared, I’d wish for it to never return, So that I could dance with you forever.  That full moon night In the midst of summer, I waited awhile, And then searched for you. Worried was I, What had happened to my love? I ran across the meadows, And then I found you. You were dancing with another, Laughing and smiling, As I just stood there, My world swirling down. Were all those promises Nothing but a lie? How had I failed to see  Beyond those charming eyes? Alas! My wish had come true, But in the cruelest of ways, I was now all alone,  In a world without light. ***

Into the Woods

Image
Into the Woods A stroll through the misty woods, In the early hours of the morning, When the first rays of sunshine Have just touched the earth, And the birds sing softly To wake up their young ones; The cool drops of dew On the grass beneath, The gentle breeze, And the rustling leaves, Fill me with a tranquil spirit, Preparing me for a new day.  ***
