Disguised Love

 Disguised Love

Like a bouquet of fresh roses,
You came like an angel,
Breathed life into my wilted heart,
Blooming nascent buds of love.

Sweet elixir seeped from your arms,
Which embraced me like soft petals,
Alas! I failed to see your masked venom,
You left me broken on a bed of thorns.
