Oh! My sweet Lily!

The only love of my life,

You hold a special place in my heart.

I remember when I first saw you in Hogwarts,

‘Twas the moment I fell in love with you.

When everyone made fun of me,

You were the only one who had a kind word for me,

You were an angel not only on the outside, but also on the inside.

I thought we both would be together,

But you ended up with James,

Why him? I still think every day,

I might not have been popular,

Yet, wasn’t I a gentle, caring person?

Alas! The Dark Lord took you away, way too soon,

But there isn’t a moment when I don’t think of you,

I can still see you in Harry’s eyes,

And I’ll always protect him from the dark world.

This is a poem in which Severus Snape from the 'Harry Potter' series talks about his love for Lily, Harry's mother. Snape had a complicated personality in the series. In the beginning, he's portrayed as a cruel person, who hated Harry and was a supporter of Voldemort, but towards the end of the series, his true nature is revealed. Snape actually supported Dumbledore, not Voldemort. He loved Lily, even years after she died. The guilt he felt for her death, made him protect her son, Harry.

 Melancholic Melodies We used to dance for hours, Under the twinkling stars, On the wild meadows, Just you and me. My hands in yours, Our steps were in sync, Just like our heartbeats, Always beating as one. A rendezvous every night, When the sun disappeared, I’d wish for it to never return, So that I could dance with you forever.  That full moon night In the midst of summer, I waited awhile, And then searched for you.   Trapped ‘Whoosh.’ The wind howled and Lucy could feel a shiver run down her spine as it blew fiercely. Lucy, who had decided to explore the woods behind her house, now found herself lost. Suddenly, she felt something wet on her head. She looked up and was greeted by a drop of water on her face. Within a few minutes, it started to rain. Lucy looked up and saw some light in a tree. She could make out a treehouse amongst the branches. A rope ladder emerged from the branches as if beckoning her to take shelter in the treehouse. Lucy caught hold of the ladder and started climbing up. She could feel the wind picking up, and the rain intensifying. She gripped the ladder firmly and tried to climb as fast as she could.
